I came here with a big group and we were able to sample a lot of different dishes and wines :) All in all its what you would expect, easy Italian food. Nothing wow-ed me but it was good.

They took away my fave dish, the manicotti, how dare they?! So last night I tried the baked ravioli, bc it had all the same ingredients listed, but alas twas a disappointing experience. I'm not sure if it was overcooked or just left sitting too long, but it was very dry. I ate some of the cheese off the top with the teeny bit of sauce left and called it quits. The waiter, while pleasant, was not that attentive...and my pasta took over 40 mins to come out. That's too long. The salad also had a few pieces that were bad, not freshly made for sure. Not enough attention to detail. The bread with oil and spices is what brings me back. And the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes, that dish is good every time.

Celebrated some friends B-day there tonight and we had a very pleasant experience. Food was very good as was the service and for an Italian chain restaurant it is very good.

Great food and love that they are open for lunch! We had a chicken Bryan sandwich - which is only on the lunch menu and it was fantastic. Fettuccini weesie is amazing too

Carabba's is one of those places about which I've always said "we should go there" after watching one of their TV commercials. I went there tonight and I won't be going back. Here's why: 1. They don't offer reservations for dinner, but they do have "call ahead seating" which, I soon learned, is total bullshit. I called at about 6:25 and told them I would be there around 7:00 - party of two, I arrived right on time expecting my table to be waiting for me. "It'll be about 15 minutes," the hostess said. Huh? What was the point of the call ahead? And to add insult to injury, they kept us waiting 35 minutes for our table. 2. The place was packed and I think the hostess sensed I was getting annoyed. I overheard her tell a waitress to "split table 12." I didn't know what that meant until our buzzer went off and were escorted to our table. It was obvious they had separated two 4-toppers that had been pushed together and seated us in extremely tight space next to another couple at the other 4-topper. The problem was, my chair was right in the middle of a pathway used by many waiters and waitresses. Every couple of minutes I heard "excuse me" or felt some server brushing by my chair. I ended up moving my chair to the opposite side of the table. 3. The food isn't horrible, but also isn't that great. The Caesar salad was the highlight. The Fettucine Weesie was just ok. Most food had been over-peppered. The bottom-line: if you like crowded and noisy dining in a room where they've packed more tables than necessary and if you crave mass-produced quasi-Italian food, Carabba's is for you. It's just not for me.

Our trip to Carraba's was with a party of four on a week night. We arrived early and were seated right away. Carraba's is a chain but it's a good chain and they provided a very pleasant dining experience at a reasonable cost. Just like Cheesecake Factory, there will be a lot of kids, which is not a positive for my wife and I. I will support the reviewers who pointed out that you don't want to pick Carraba's if you're in a hurry. Our waitress was a wonderful person but the service was mind-numbingly slow. I spent a good hour of our time there catching up on my email and reading. I believe the pace of service is deliberate. Carraba's wants to think of itself as the kind of place the family can have dinner and spend time together. That philosophy was obviously crafted before the days of wireless internet when today's kids are glued to their iPhones. It's 2015 y'all, pick up the pace. Three of us had spaghetti and meatballs and my wife had chicken marsala with steamed spinach. I'd rank Carraba's number 3 behind Stresa and La Fontana for spaghetti and meatballs, which means it was very acceptable and overall quite good. I tasted my wife's chicken and it was moist and flavorful. We all shared the appetizer sampler which was quite good. The calamari in the appetizer sampler was the slightest bit greasy, my only ding on the food. We each had a meal, salads and shared an appetizer. One of our party was drinking and the bill was still came to less than $100, which I felt was one of the better restaurant deals anywhere in the area. I look through these 1 and 2 star reviews and I'm surprised. We found the Carabbas in North Palm Beach to be clean and the kitchen was neat and organized. The cooks work in plain sight so they're obviously not trying to hide anything behind swinging doors. Overall Carraba's delivers and if there were problems with this store in the past, there is no evidence of it today.

This place is a joke. Service sucks, place is dirty and food takes forever to come out.

Husband the two kids (both age 1) and I went over there for what we thought would be a quick bite. The service was ridiculously slow; we decided to get our food to-go after waiting over an hour. We ordered the kids food first and that still took 45 minutes to cook (for a tiny piece of chicken and steamed green beans) and the chicken was so over seasoned and the green beans so crunchy and hard that the boys couldn't eat it and spit it out. Even my husband and I couldn't eat the chicken because it tasted like a block of salt dipped in a bucket full of pepper. We got home to eat and my husbands chicken Marsala was very disappointing. The chicken was the same size as what the kids got and just as over seasoned. The marsala sauce tasted like gravy. My dish barely had any sauce and had no taste at all. The drink he got (Long Island Ice tea just tasted like watered down soda with lemon in it.) Very very disappointing. We won't be going back. And I won't advise anyone else to go there as well.

I was hungry and Carrabas was right there. Usually I would not bother as it is too pedestrian. But, heck, I was hungry. I walked in at 5:45 pm on a Monday. They were moderately busy. The small 2 seat booths in the front were mostly available. I was behind another couple and the middle aged hostess told them that the large booth they wanted would be a few minutes. I was up. She ignored me and answered the phone and told me, curtly, to wait. She went on and on with someone she knew. As I waited another couple came in behind me. When the hostess hung up she asked them the size of the party and told them it would be a few minutes. They sat. She turned to me and said it would be a few minutes so have a seat. She went off and spoke to a server. I was now in the restaurant 15 minutes. I was sitting in front of 4 empty small booths. A new hostess came up and ignored me and seated another couple in the same darned booths. I had enough! I walked to the kitchen and got hold of the manager, Johnny Vicari. I explained what had happened and why I was leaving and would never eat again at a Carrabas. He asked what he could do and I asked him to can the hostess. I left and had a great meal elsewhere. I've been around the restaurant biz many years and I know when the hostess is "loading" sections and wants to avoid the single. It's not right and the only way to protest is not eat there and post on Yelp. Screw you Carabbas!!

Why does this chicken taste like fish....or maybe even steak? Hmmm So here begins the most disgusting food experience I have ever witnessed. We decided to sit at the kitchen window bar as it looked like a pretty neat experience. WRONG. As I watched the "chef" tend to the grill, wash the floors, wrap up all the food from the day (touching raw fish, raw chicken and raw red meat) and putting it away for tomorrow....all with the same gloves. I literally watched this chef cross contaminate every piece of meat that he put away in the fridge. Disgusting.... I hear my order getting called so I watch to see if he is going to wash his hands or change his gloves....he does not. In fact, while cooking the chicken, he is still handling raw meats and putting them in the fridge. So with the same hands and gloves (as previously mentioned) he grabs a plate and puts my chicken on it and serves it to me. Excuse me....GROSS....I didn't even want to imagine the amounts of different bacteria on that plate. I immediately brought this to the managers attention. He did what he could at the time, he re-fired the chicken at least changing his gloves...never washed his hands...but at this point I'm in shock I guess. We ate our meal, both got sick to no surprise, and we will never go back again. A manager that witnessed the cross contamination that I witnessed should have thrown away ALL that food that the chef had touched. It's disgusting and extremely dangerous. I STRONGLY advise that a health inspector visit this establishment for the safety of the patrons.

Decor: Dark, even during the day. Cleanliness: A big minus here. Place smells horrible, tables are greasy, silverware is dirty. Service: Surprisingly attentive. Food: I sense danger. All four salads were served with spoiled lettuce. Meatballs looked weird and tasted worse. Mashed potatoes had way too much salt in them. Other orders were just bland. But worse than having bad food is having food that is unsafe to eat. Two people in our party (we were four) got sick afterwards. I'm not coming back.

Moldy black berries going into drinks at the bar. Food was slow coming out and not very good at all. I had a salad and the lettuce was wilted and brown. The nut crusted wheel of goat cheese was disgusting...like it had been sitting out for some period of time. Service was good, but not great.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
